1.8928 (S690QL) directly from stock & cut to your required dimensions!
S690QL is a high-strength fine-grained steel. It is suitable for steel structures exposed to severe stresses.
This material 1.8928 is used, among other things, to manufacture crane and lifting machines, as well as frame structures (according to the American standard for bridges in ASTM A709 similar to grade HPS 100 + 100W)) and mining machines.
A maximum application temperature of up to 500°C is specified in American literature.
S690QL can be welded without problems. A targeted heat treatment is recommended to prevent cold cracking.

The processing with the saw is a mechanical processing of the material, which results in a significantly lower unintended deformation and increased hardness for the existing structure, such as the thermal cutting.
Thus, the machined workpiece has a homogeneous structure even at the edge, which does not change in the continuation of the material.
This circumstance allows immediate finishing of the workpiece with milling or drilling . So it is not necessary to anneal the material or make a similar operation beforehand.
