1.4305 (X8CrNiS18-9) directly from stock & cut to your required dimensions!
1.4305 alloyed with sulfur is an austenitic chromium-nickel steel. Not resistant to intergranular corrosion! Not to use in acid and chlorine containing environments, because these can cause pitting or crevice corrosion.
The stainless steel type 1.4305 is popularly known as AISI 303.
Main application areas are the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, fittings for medium corrosive stresses, electronic equipment, parts for the food industry.
Weldability: bad
Machinability: 10 (1 = very bad - 10 = good)
Polishability: no
Corrosion class: 2 (0 = weak - 5 = good)

The processing with the saw is a mechanical processing of the material, which results in a significantly lower unintended deformation and increased hardness for the existing structure, such as the thermal cutting.
Thus, the machined workpiece has a homogeneous structure even at the edge, which does not change in the continuation of the material.
This circumstance allows immediate finishing of the workpiece with milling or drilling . So it is not necessary to anneal the material or make a similar operation beforehand.
